May 30 - NO MEETING AT MATHEWS COTTAGE: Have a great holiday weekend!
June 6 - MONO LAKE Herley Jim Bowling of the Mono Lake Committee will give us a slide show covering the ecosystem and its lessons for sustainable living. We will have the unusual opportunity to MAKE Mono Lake water! Moderator: Lorna McClellan
June 13 - ANNUAL DINNER this evening at Scotty’s. No morning meeting, see you for dinner!
June 20 - LET THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN Recent speaker at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Michael White Bear Claws, will enlighten us concerning what we can do to be supportive of what is happening in the Native American Community. Lorna McClellan will moderate.
June 27 - DIGGING DEEP AND SURFACING Bob Dunn will give a more detailed examination of recent developments in the politics and cultural significance of his work as an archaeologist. Moderator: Beth Perkins.
July 4 - NO MEETING AT MATHEWS COTTAGE
July 11 - EARTHY THOUGHTS - Lorna McClellan will share her experiences working as a gardener - including art, poetry and prose. Selections from a video of a Japanese garden will be included. Moderator: Lorna McClellan.

OPENERS arrive at 10:15, unlock doors, cabinet, put out sign, start water, put on tablecloth, set up cups, coffee, etc. for the refreshments. Please light the fellowship candle.
REFRESHMENTS need to arrive by 10:25. Please arrange a trade if you cannot attend or clean up on the day assigned. When you bring refreshments, it is your turn to be responsible for the clean up of the entire refreshment table including the coffee water and supplies. If you need help, just ask. By the way, thank-you very much!!!
If you cannot bring refreshments on the date listed in the newsletter, you may call someone and trade with them for another date that is more convenient.

June 13 - ANNUAL DINNER AND SUNSET CELEBRATION - Note: SUNDAY evening, a new choice for the early evening dinner at Scotty’s in Hermosa, Beach. We will gather for cocktail hour at 4:30, with dinner served at 5:30.. The cost will be $15.00 per person (includes dinner, beverage, desert, tax, and tip.) Wine and beer are extra. Call Penny Hendricks to make your reservation and choose your entree. Volunteers are needed to supply and do table decorations, to MC, tell jokes, stories, acts, etc. Help us make this event a big success!
June 23 - NEXT BOARD MEETING will be at Beth Perkins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

July 24 - GARAGE SALE at Sharon Spurlock’s home. You may bring your items to her home the week before the sale. The sale will begin at 5:30 a.m., as that is when buyers want to buy! Volunteers are needed on Friday evening to get the sale items ready and on Saturday morning as well. We can use two or three shifts on Saturday.

Project Needs: We received a "thank-you" note from St. Paul’s Treasurer for our contributions totaling $545.00. Thank you to all who contributed.
From THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER:
The Annual Auction at Beth Perkins house raised over $600 for the Fellowship. Sickness and travel reduced attendance from previous years. Thanks go to all the members who attended and made contributions.
Don’t forget the Annual Dinner on Sunday, June 13th.
SBUF needs your contributions of items for the garage sale in July, as well as cash to pay the rent!
