December 3  HARASSMENT AND POWER   Eric La Scala will reference a recent “New Yorker” article on the current harassment topic that is continually in the headlines.  We will have an open discussion and hear your”take” on what is happening

 

December 10 –  HOLIDAYS AND HOLY DAYS--CELEBRATING THE LIGHT      UU Rev. Jon Dobrer shares the ways to enjoy the season that is upon us.   

 

December 17 – A TAPED PROGRAM INCLUDES A ONE-ON ONE DISCUSSION WITH Bill McKibben (Environmentalist), and panel of Carl Bernstein, Max Brooks, and Rebecca Traister.  This is from the Bill Mayer show.  Penny will moderate. 

 

December 24 – IT IS CHRISTMAS EVE  We hope you have a joyful and peaceful time with friends and family.  THERE WILL BE NO SBUF MEETING TODAY. 

 

December 31 – WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!  It’s the end of 2017.  If you could, is there something you would not care to wish for. as “a do over”.  Have you made any resolutions for next year?   Penny Hendricks leads the program.       Wishing everyone a Happier New Year!

    *****ATTENTION: For Openers and Refreshment persons:  *********************

OPENERS arrive at 10:30 a.m., unlock doors, cabinet, put out signs, put on tablecloths, make the coffee, start water, set up cups, coffee, etc. for the refreshments.  Please display the fellowship candle on the circular table.  Place the Guest Book, name tags, and offering basket on the long table.

REFRESHMENTS need to arrive by 11:00 a.m.  Please arrange a trade if you cannot attend or clean up on the day assigned.  When you bring refreshments, it is your turn to be responsible for the clean up of the entire refreshment table including the coffee, water, tablecloths and supplies.  If you need help, just ask.

If you cannot bring refreshments on the date listed in the newsletter, you may call someone and trade with them for another date that will be more convenient for you.

How do I become a member of the South Bay Unitarian Fellowship?  Membership is open to all persons 15 years of age or older who sign a membership card expressing agreement with the purpose of the Fellowship.  Members become eligible to vote and hold office three months after signing membership cards.  Members are expected to participate in SBUF activities and to provide a helping hand and financial support when needed and are able to do so.  

 

SBUF Programs   If there is a particular topic you would like to see presented on a Sunday morning, or an organization you want to know more about, or a good book you would like to share, or any other ideas for Sunday morning programs, please call Penny Hendricks. Your input is valuable!  Thank you for your help.
