“If peace means a willingness to be exploited economically, dominated politically, humiliated and segregated, I don’t want peace.  If peace means being complacently adjusted to a deadening status quo, I don’t want peace.”  Martin Luther King Jr

                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

February 2 –  GOODBYE TO NINE AND DEMOCRACY   Last Sunday (January 26) as our program came to a close and we were putting away hymnals and cleaning up Mathews Cottage there was a helicopter crash.  A crash into a hillside that caused the helicopter to burst into flames. The crash ended nine lives.  Many lives were affected.  Penny will moderate.

February 9 – ROATAN   Peter Landecker recently visited Roatan, Honduras and will relate his experiences with illustrated images. Roatan is an island isolated from the economic and security problems common in mainland Honduras. There are beautiful and fascinating underwater critters in Roatan.

February 16 – against despair   A presentation and discussion led by UU Rev. Jon Dobrer, a Starr King and Theological Union graduate, served the UU Church in Fullerton from 1993-2014.  Jon continues teaching, doing columns for newsgroups, newspapers and writing about our world.  We welcome Jon again.  Penny will moderate.

February 23 –  To be announced.
